IS THIS A PAID INTERNSHIP?
No, this is not currently a paid internship program
IS THERE A SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM?
No, we currently do not offer a summer internship program.
DO I NEED TO FOLLOW THE FACIAL HAIR/TATTOO POLICY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM?
You are NOT required to follow the facial hair/tattoo policies to participate in the program, but your tattoos should be work appropriate.
IS THE PROGRAM OFFERED TO BOTH UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS?
Yes, our internship is offered to both undergraduates (juniors and seniors) and graduates who are currently enrolled and meet the minimum GPA requirements.
HOW IS THE INTERNSHIP STRUCTURED?
During the interview, we discuss the student’s interests, goals and school/work schedule. We use this information to tailor an internship experience that aligns with the provided information and affords a commute that is practical for them. The main goal of the internship is to offer interns a comprehensive overview of CSP. We do this by assigning them to several different Troops/Units throughout the semester based on the information provided above.
WHAT OTHER OPPORTUNITIES ARE OFFERED?
Throughout the semester, we expose interns to various demonstrations and experiences outside their Troop/Unit assignments. These opportunities are provided on an optional basis and have included but are not limited to a CPR class/certification, a live fire Range Day, and an Emergency Services Day.
