SALARY

Compensation Guidelines (Effective 06/28/2024 in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements)

Hire:

  • Trooper Trainee (6 months): $67,280

  • Trooper Trainee (Certified 2+ years): $77,091

  • Meal Allowance: 2.5 hours pay per week (5 hours per pay period) for the 1/2 hour paid meal period.


Upon graduation:

  • Trooper Trainee (6 months): SP 2/1 - $74,756 - 1 year working test period from the date of graduation.

  • Trooper Trainee (Certified 2+ years): SP 2/2 - $77,091 - 6 month working test period from the date of graduation.

Top Step Trooper Salary (Step 8): $116,120

STATE CAR & GASOLINE

State issued equipment, off-duty use of assigned vehicle in accordance with current rules and regulations.

FREE UNIFORMS & DRY CLEANING

  • Cleaning stipend of $650.00 per year for specific non-uniformed positions

  • Safety shoes and equipment stipend of $150.00 per year

WELLNESS

Annual $500.00 Wellness Stipend

MEDICAL & DENTAL BENEFITS

Two (2) Health Plans and two (2) Dental Plans from which to choose.

PAID TIME OFF

  • 12 vacation days per calendar year

  • 15 sick days per calendar year

  • 12 holidays per calendar year

  • 3 personal leave days per calendar year

  • Workers’ Compensation if injured on the job

EDUCATION INCENTIVES

  • Annual $500.00 Lump Sum Payment for Bachelors or Masters Degrees
