Did you get your CHIP Card yet?!
You can apply for the Trooper Trainee position before receiving your CHIP Card. Proof of a valid CHIP card must be received at CSP.Recruitment@ct.gov by May 30, 2025.
All candidates are required to have a CHIP card to fulfill the physical fitness requirement as the Connecticut State Police will no longer be offering a physical fitness assessment.
The physical fitness standards for the CHIP card are comprised of the following 4 events:
Sit-Ups
300 Meter Run
Push-Ups
1.5 Mile Run
Testing for the CHIP card is offered all year round via www.certifyfit.com/chip-test and is valid for 6 months.
We are excited to see all of the applications we have received so far and would like to extend our appreciation to Certify Fit for all the work they do to support the Connecticut State Police.
